Lenovo XClarity to support Hyper-V Server 2016 (Free edition)
After I uploaded the Hyper-V Server 2016 (Free edition) OS image, the Deploy OS Image installation stopped on the screen with "There are no images available" and I cannot click next button. I call support and it seems Lenovo XClarity doesn’t support the Hyper-V Server 2016 Free Edition? (only work with Windows Server 2016 Standard and Datacenter Edition).
Can this OS support be added in the next release? We are planning to use this free edition because it supports unlimited Linux VMs.
Thanks!
Lenovo Diagnostics: Memory Quick test failed
Somebody else may have had a similar, but the problem & answer is in German!! I don’t speak German!
When I run Lenovo diagnostics, there is a problem with the memory test. When I run the Quick random pattern test, it finishes with ‘Cancelled’. I haven’t cancelled it. It doesn’t say whether the test failed or passed. All other tests pass ok.
I have a Lenovo G505s & running windows10. I’m running Lenovo Support Centre 3.6.002
CCSDK Uninstall

ThinkCentre M83 / M93p: Success getting newer AMD cards to work with this generation – RX 470 570
I’m looking into upgrading my machine with a dedicated GPU, and would like to take the AMD route for Linux compatibility. I’ve read the compilation post and know about the BIOS whitelist, but the information on which AMD cards are supported exactly is sparse. There seem to be some reports of the RX 460 working on a ThinkCentre M82, but I wasn’t able to find any more details about that.
Has anyone here had the chance to give these recent AMD cards a try, yet? Specifically the RX 4xx and RX 5xx series?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Mod: edited Subject line to add AMD model numbers
