Thinkpad Yoga 260 Freezing on Lenovo Splash Screen

I have a Lenovo Yoga 260 Type 20FD that keeps getting stuck on the Lenovo splash screen.  I can hold the power button, turn it off, back on and it will load fine.  Until the next reboot where it will get stuck at the splash screen.  I’ve updated BIOS to 1.63 and still no change.  I also reverted the OS back to factory default, but I still get he same behavior.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Fan abruptly stopping or racing, X1 Carbon Gen 5

Hi.

So I had the feeling that the fan of my X1 had a strang sound to if for a while, as if there was an imbalance somewhere. Usually more noticable during lower rpms.

Now, over the last few days, the fan apruptly stopped a few times, making a sound as if something was hitting the fan blades (imagine a cable in the way of a 120mm fan or you stopping a fan with your fingers) and after a few seconds it would start again.

Alternatively, the fan would sound as if it a jet was starting, not in the "a lot of air is being moved way" but mor in the "I am eating myself and there’s gonna be plastic parts everywhere in a second" kind of way. This would only stop by either me pressing the bottom of the notebook to stop the fan, after which it would just start to turn normal again, or me powering down the notebook.

I had the sound from the beginning and the stopping happen both under linux and windos but the third version only under windows so far (although it feels like it is getting worse). So I doubt that it is a simple software problem.

I will probably try to go to a lenovo service shop on monday (my model is also part of the loose screw thing) but wanted to ask if anyone has an idea what could be the reason for this?

I also tried to open a service request online but the awesome homepage plainly does nothing when I try to. Anyone has similar experience with this?

Hard voice is relatively high in the Lenovo IdeaPad 520-15IKB since its purchase ??

I bought the Lenovo IdeaPad 520-15IKB a month ago and noticed that the sound of hard is relatively high and when I found that this complaint is widespread in this model a lot and after use I found that the sound rises with some operations such as file transfer and during the operation began and you download the program Lenovo Vantage The test worked for the Hard Disk and the result was good

But recently I noticed something else and I do not know if it has anything to do with Hard Disk or not
When I watch a clip on the Internet and especially YouTube stops the picture for a moment while still playing the sound at the same time
As well as video clips on the device, the video stops for a moment with a quick chopping sound and then comes back and I do not understand why

Windows cannot repair this computer automatically

Greetings,

At the beginning of the week, I came into work put my Lenovo ThinkPad T550 (Windows 7) in the docking station, then rebooted. Well, it never came back up. Instead, it booted into Startup Repair. The error says, "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically". I’ve seen different websites with the solution to ‘boot into safe mode’. I restart the laptop, press F8 to change boot options, but I never get the boot menu. I’ve also tried: bootrec /fixboot, bootrec /fixmbr, but no luck. My goal is to pull data off the drive, then reimage. So, when I boot using a LiveLinux boot usb, I’m able to view the file systems. I saw an NTFS file system (1.46 gb size), so I mounted the drive and used WinSCP to view the drive contents. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything I was looking for. There were several other drives with the file system labeled UNKNOWN. One of these (devsba2) shows a size of 215.07 gb. I believe this is where my data resides. I have no idea how to proceed. Is there a way to resolve the UNKNOWN file system? What tools could I use? As noted above, the system was running Windows 7 and fully patched. I don’t have a CDDVD drive and had not previously created a recovery disk.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Chris
