I have a brand new ThinkCentre M720T (i3-8300) connected to a new LG 29WK600-W via DP->HDMI cable.
The ideal resolution for this monitor is 2560×1080 but both the generic Win10 graphics control panel and the Intel UHD graphics control panel are topping out at 1920×1080 (even when using the custom resolution option).
The spec sheet for this machine found in the "Specifications" section at the bottom of this page
https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkCentre/ThinkCentre_M720_Tower
indicates it supports resolutions up to "4096×2304 (DP)@60Hz; 2048×1536 (VGA)@50H."
The graphics driver on this machine is currently 24.20.100.6287. I have run Lenovo’s update (indicated this was the latest driver) and have attempted to update to DCH 25.20.100.6519 using the .exe file from Intel’s website. The latter errors out with a message along the lines that my PC manufacturer does not support / recommend this driver so it fails to install.
What do I need to do to get my machine to output resolution at 2560×1080?!

Ideapad 330-15IGM – Fan/cooling problems
I’ve just bought Lenovo Ideapad 330-15IGM (81D100CUYA) and installed a fresh Windows 10 with all the latest updates from Lenovo System Update software, and noticed that fan/cooler is working loudly even when the system is in idle. Fan starts to spin up about 10 secounds after boot and never stops. There are oscillations in fan speed regarding cpu load, but in idle, it’s not logical to be in that state.
I have the latest BIOS version which is currently 7XCN28WW. Processor temperature is between 40 and 45 celsius and processor load is not more than 5%. I know this behaviour with noise fan is not normal and I assume it’s even BIOS issue or in worse case hardware issue.
I’ve called local Lenovo service and they told me it’s not normal and they need to do some system tests, etc. But since notebook is new I do not want to leave it there for days.
Also, I noticed there are people who had similar issues, and I’m wondering have anybody successfully resolved the issue?
I’m about to return notebook to the store and to buy another brand, but want to give one additional chance, maybe it is solvable? Does anybody tried to resolve issuse by taking it to the service?
Edit:
Notebook configuration: Type:81D1, Intel Pentium N5000, 4GB, SSD 120, AMD Radeon 530

Intel® UHD Graphics 630 crashes windows 10 after restore from sleep.
Hi.
I started a discussion on the intel web site which describes my issue with UHD graphics driver: https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P00004BduHQSAZ/intel-uhd-graphics-630-crashes-windows-10-after-restore-from-sleep?language=en_US
Can you provide some help how to fix it ?
Regards.
