X1 Extreme Gen 1 Slower than Expected

Hi All,

Just bought a brand new X1 Extreme Gen 1 and it is honestly much slower than expected. One thing in particular that I keep noticing is scrolling. When I scroll down a PDF in the browser it is extremely choppy. My old W530 that’s 6 years old runs through PDFs faster. I don’t mean to be nit picky, but considering the cost of this laptop, I would expect it to be a lot faster.

Has anyone else had problems? Any proposed fixes?

Specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8850H CPU @ 2.6 GHz

RAM: 16 GB (15.5 usable)

System Type: 64-bit Operating System x64-based processor

I’ve tried updating everything and it still seems wildly slow for a computer of these specs.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Processor FAN doesn't seems to work after bios update. T510

I have purchased my Lenovo T510 since 2012 and need to reinstall the OS to Windows 7 for the 3rd time. I’ve updated the drivers as well as the bios. After updating the BIOS I noticed that the laptop is in ideal mode and sometimes the laptop is automatically turned on. Sometimes it doesn’t turn ON at all. If there are problems with the bios version, please let us know. The previously updated bio version is out of my mind.

Laptop reformatted external hard drive on its own, renamed as E:/System_drv

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 110. Recently I wanted to back up some photos off my phone to my external drive, so I hooked both my phone and laptop up to my external drive. After some time the transferred finished and everything was in order, so I left them both plugged in and went to do some errands. When I came back my backup drive had been completely wiped and renamed to E:/System_drv.

Outside of a tiny block of data, the rest of the hard drive appears as unallocated. I did absolutely nothing to it other than leave it plugged up to my external drive. I’ve done this many times before and nothing has happened until today. I lost everything that was on it. I’ve given up on getting my data back, but this cannot happen again. Does anyone have idea as to why this happened to me and exactly how I can ensure that this never happens in the future? This is insane.

Lenovo Legion only 1 Ram drive detected

Hi guys,

I just recently purchased the Lenovo Legion Y540-17IRH-PG0.

I just recently bought another 16 GB Ram 2666Hz. I have installed both of the Ram the original 8 GB from Lenovo and the 16 GB Ram that I have bought. however when I open task manager, it is showing that only one of the slots is being used. What is going on ?

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
