I have a ThinkStation S10 MT-M 6483-AF3, BIOS version 2WKT47A, and currently running Windows 10 Pro. Current hardware configuration is stock E6550 cpu, 8Gb ram, and one Hitachi 1Tb SATA hard drive. I am attempting to upgrade the video card from the original Quadro NVS 290 to preferably a Nvidia GTX 460 (I have several other cards I can use). From searching the forums I’ve found a post where Dutchice seems to believe that the problem is with the BIOS as he had downgraded and was able to use a GTX 670 (the message where he states that is the last one in the thread.

So I hoping for a way to try that fix by downloading some older BIOS files for my system. Here’s hoping, thanks for any input on this issue.
New ThinkPad X1 Extreme vs New ThinkPad P1
Hi all, I have been spec’ing up a new laptop and trying to compare the new X1 Extreme with the new P1.
Here are the two specs :

As you can see the two machine specs are almost identical with the main difference beeing that the X1 has the Core i7 with the GeForce graphics and the P1 has the Xeon with the Quadro graphics. There’s also the Windows 10 Pro vs Windows 10 Pro for Workstations.
That being the case, why is the price difference nearly £750? The CPU, graphics and OS version alone can’t account for that much can they?
Am I missing something else that the P1 has?
Thanks 🙂
Tb3-X70F connects fine to wifi but no internet?
Worked just fine for several months but this morning it would not work, it connects and recieves an ip adress in just a few seconds but when i use google play it says no internet connection, neither 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz works however my cell phone connects just fine.
Im using no router all devices connects directly to internet through a cable modem, i have access to up to 4 ip adresses and got 3 devices(computer, surfpad, cell phone)
Rebooted surfpad and modem several times, changed name of wifi, deleted wifi and reconnected, checked time and date on surfpad but nothing helps.
So far the only internet access i had was when i tried to connect to internet through the cell phone and it worked flawless.
Surfpad: Lenovo TB3-X70F
Cell phone: Samsung galaxy xcover 3
Cable modem: Netgear cg3700
Where do i go from here?
Regards

Lenovo Y700-15isk instal new M2 hard drive
Hiya everyone, I have a Y700 with a factory installed 256g/b M2 SSD drive as well as a 2GB SATA drive installed.
My question relates to installing a larger M2 device as the new primary drive as, even with defaulting most of my applications to the secondary drive, the primary SSD drive is running critically low to the point where I am struggling to install critical Win 10 updates due to the lack of free space.
Could someone direct me to a walkthrough that will allow me to back up my o/s and then transferring it to the new M2 drive when purchased.
If it’s possible of course.
Thanks
